Ajith's Nerkonda Paarvai completes 4 years, video of Jyotika thanking the Vidaamuyarchi actor surfaces

Ajith's Nerkonda Paarvai has completed four years since its release in 2019. The legal drama directed by H Vinoth, is the remake of the critically-acclaimed Hindi film, Pink. Ajith was seen as a no-nonsense advocate Bharath Subramaniam in Nerkonda Paarvai, which also starred Shraddha Srinath, Abhirami Venkatachalam and Andrea Tariang. As the film completes four years, a video of Jyotika thanking Ajith for doing the film is making its rounds on the internet.

 In the video, Jyotika thanks Ajith profusely for doing a film like Nerkonda Paarvai, which sends out the important message of consent in a relationship. "I really think he should be thanked for doing a film like Nerkonda Paarvai. I really thank him for doing the film. When you are in the stature that he is, everyone around you is talking about the market and fan following. But he stepped aside from all that and went on to do a film like this."

Jyotika, who has worked with Ajith in Poovellam Vaasam and Mugavaree, adds, "For people like Ajith sir, whose films are made on a high budget, Nerkonda Paarvai is considered a very small film. When you compare it with a project like Viswasam, which are all 100 crore films, it is small. But he has kept aside all that and has taken up a project like this. I think it is a big deal. When an actor with a massive fan following as Ajith sir's does a film like this, many boys will follow him. When they ape his dialogues, dressing sense, the way he wears his glasses, they will follow this, too. The film Nerkonda Paarvai will have a huge impact on them. Ajith sir should be thanked for not worrying about the market and accepting a film like this."

The Hindi version of Nerkonda Paarvai, was directed by Aniruddha Roy Chowdhury and written by Shoojit Sircar, Ritesh Shah and Aniruddha Roy Chowdhury. Pink starred Amitabh Bachchan as the lawyer and Taapsee Pannu, Kirti Kulhari and Andrea Tariang as the leads.

Ajith is all set to begin work on his next titled Vidaamuyarchi, which will be directed by Magizh Thirumeni and bankrolled by Lyca Productions.
