Ajith’s Good Bad Ugly streaming rights bagged by Netflix for this whopping amount

Recently, the makers of Ajith Kumar-starrer Good Bad Ugly released the first-look poster of the film, featuring Ajith in three different shades. While the makers reiterated that the film will hit theatres for Pongal 2025, the latest update is that the post-theatrical streaming rights have been bagged by Netflix.

Netflix acquires Good Bad Ugly

Actor Ajith Kumar, who enjoys a massive fanbase in Tamil Nadu, is currently working in two projects, Vidaa Muyarchi and Good Bad Ugly. While the first film is being directed by filmmaker Magizh Thirumeni, the second film is directed by Adhik Ravichandran, an ardent fan of Ajith. The makers of Good Bad Ugly released the first-look poster recently. Now, as per reports, the digital streaming rights of Good Bad Ugly has been bagged by Netflix for a whopping amount of Rs 95 crore. An official announcement regarding this is awaited.

Good Bad Ugly is directed by Adhik Ravichandran and produced by Telugu production house Mythri Movie Makers. Calling Ajith the “most versatile performer”, Adhik wrote, “Magic of life is, sticking my Star’s poster in my cupboard and placing banners in theatres. And now presenting this first look poster not only as a fanboy, but also as a fanboy director.” The film has gone on floors and is expected to release in January 2025 for Pongal. The film will have music scored by Devi Sri Prasad.

On Vidaa Muyarchi

Ajith’s other film is Vidaa Muyarchi with Magizh Thirumeni. The film is speculated to have a release for Diwali this year. Produced by Lyca Productions, the film will be an action thriller with Anirudh Ravichander scoring the music. The post-theatrical streaming rights have been bagged by Netflix.

Vidaa Muyarchi will have Trisha Krishnan play the female lead and also stars Arjun Sarja, Regina Cassandra, and Arav in other pivotal roles. Nirav Shah is the director of photography. A release date for the film is yet to be announced.
