The shooting of H Vinoth's third film with Ajith has been going in full swing. The team has been working on a crucial schedule near Araku Valley near Vizag recently. The actor's pictures from his bike trip have been doing the rounds for the last few weeks, and he is likely to join the team for completing the remaining portions soon.

Tentatively titled AK 61, the movie has Boney Kapoor bankrolling it under Bay View Projects. Manju Warrier, Kavin and Veera are playing important roles in the film which is touted as a heist thriller.

It is more or less confirmed that the movie's much-awaited first look will be unveiled after a few hours. We hear that makers have locked the title Thunai for the film, and that it is just a matter of time before the official announcement arrives.

A couple of days ago, there were speculations that Thunive Thunai is the title the team has come up with. Fans of Ajith, who have been awaiting an update from the project, are excited to the core and have been taking to Twitter to post tweets with hashtags 'AK 61' and 'Thunai'. They are now looking forward to knowing if the makers would come up with an update on the movie's release.

AK 61 was initially announced as a Deepavali release. When Karthi's Sardar and Sivakarthikeyan's Prince were slated to hit the screens for the festival, there was unconfirmed news that the Ajith-starrer would arrive in December.

There are rumours doing the rounds that the movie has chances of releasing around the Pongal festival, in January 2023. Vijay-starrer Varisu had earlier announced that the family drama directed by Vamshi Paidipally would hit the screens on Pongal.
