The third single from Ajith's Thunivu, Gangstaa is out and the song has taken to the internet by storm. The power-packed number is sung by Shabir Sulthan and Ghibran and has lyrics by Shabir and Viveka. Gangstaa talks about who the gangsta is in real life and the lyric video shows Ajith's many looks from the song along with fleeting glimpses of the making of the song, which includes the recording session. The video also shows a throne in the beginning. Ajith looks dapper and super stylish in the song, which seems to be tailor made for him.
Taking to his social media handle, the film's composer Ghibran wrote, When bad happens. Someone will rise from the ashes. Some call him a saviour, some call him #Gangstaa The wait is over - AK The original #Ganstaa is here! - http://bit.ly/Gangstaa #Thunivu #AjithKumar #HVinoth @ShabirMusic @ShabirMusic & @Viveka_Lyrics (sic).”
A couple of days ago, singer Shabir had dropped the lyrics to the song on his social media handle, and had asked everyone to memorise the lines. He wrote, “Lyrics of the song “Gangstaa” read it…Memorise it! And enhance your listening experience on 25th. Happy to have wrote and sang for @GhibranOfficial #Gangstaa #Thunivu #ThunivuThirdSingle #ThunivuPongal (sic).”
The song has already taken the internet by storm, within minutes of release. Earlier two songs, Chilla Chilla (sung by Anirudh Ravichander) and Kasethan Kadavulada (sung by Vaisagh, Ghibran and Manju Warrier) were released and both turned out to be chartbusters.
Thunivu is said to be an action entertainer and Ajith is said to be doing some heavy-duty stunts in the film. The film is directed by H Vinoth and bankrolled by Boney Kapoor marking the duo’s third collaboration with Ajith, after Nerkonda Paarvai and Valimai. Manju Warrier plays the leading lady and this will be her second film in Tamil after her debut in the critically acclaimed Asuran, directed by Vetri Maaran. The film is all set to hit screens for Pongal 2023.
