Tamil actor Ajith Kumar, who is awaiting the release of his film Vidaamuyarchi, has been conferred with India’s third highest civilian award Padma Bhushan by the Government of India. The announcement was made on Saturday.
Actor Ajith Kumar is one of the Indian artistes who enjoys a massive fanbase. On Saturday, government of India conferred the actor with the third highest civilian award, Padma Bhushan. Ajith Kumar was one among the 19 to be conferred with the award.
After Bharat Ratna and Padma Vibhushan, Padma Bhushan is the third highest civilian award and is followed by Padma Shri. Ajith Kumar has been given the award under the category of art, it was announced by the Indian government.

The film also stars Trisha, Arjun Sarja, Regina Cassandra and others. Produced by Lyca Productions, the film has music by Anirudh Ravichander.
Ajith Kumar also has another film, Good Bad Ugly, with director Adhik Ravichandran due to release this year. The film slated for release on April 10. It is produced by Mythri Movie Makers. Netflix has bagged the post-theatrical digital streaming rights of both Good Bad Ugly and Vidaamuyarchi. The films will stream once they complete the theatrical runs.
