Ajith's Thunivu opened with a bang yesterday with the first day first shows beginning at the wee hours of 1am across the state. The film, directed by H Vinoth, is an action entertainer with AK going all blazing on screen. While Boney Kapoor, the film's producer watched the FDFS in Chennai, the film's leading lady Manju Warrier watched the film in Kochi. The actress spilled the beans that Ajith had called after the release and that he is happy with the response to Thunivu.

She added that the entire team was happy. "Thunivu is getting good reviews and those who have seen the film liked it, too. When you have worked hard for a film and its reaps its benefits, it gives immense happiness to all those who have been part of it. Now it's all in the audience's hands."

Thunivu, directed by H Vinoth, is an action entertainer that features Ajith, Manju Warrier, Samuthirakani, Pavani Reddy, Bagavathi Perumal, Veera, John Kokken, Mamathi Chari, Ajay, Ciby Bhuvana Chandran, Mahanadhi Shankar, Chirag Jani to name a few. The film has music by Ghibran, cinematography by Nirav Shah and editing by Vijay Velukutty. The plot revolves around a bank heist by a mysterious person known as Dark Devil, who is on a mission to tarnish the bank.

The film has opened to positive reviews and many have called it a complete AK rampage. In the meantime, National Award-winning director Vasanthabalan is all praise for director H Vinoth and has stated in a Facebook post that Thunivu is a good film with a message for the audience. He also stated that Ajith's dialogues in the film were mass and a treat to hear. He also wished the team his very best.

This is the third collaboration between Ajith, H Vinoth and Boney Kapoor, after Nerkonda Paarvai and Valimai. Fans are celebrating the success of the Ajith Kumar rampage in theatres.
