Ajayante Randam Moshanam: Surabhi Lakshmi is an intimidating presence in latest poster from Tovino-starrer

The makers of Malayalam movie Ajayante Randam Moshanam unveiled the poster of National Award-winning actress Surabhi Lakshmi’s character, Manikyam, on her birthday on October 5.

Surabhi will be one of the three female protagonists, along with Aishwarya Rajessh and Kriti Shetty in the Tovino Thomas-starrer, which is helmed by debutant director Jithin Laal.

The film, which is scripted by Sujith Nambiar, has Tovino essaying the character of Maniyan, Kunjikelu and Ajayan. The portions are set in the 1900s, 1950s and 1990. Surabhi will be paired with Tovino’s character of Maniyan in the film, as per the director’s post. The movie, which marks Kriti’s Malayalam debut, will have her essaying the character of Lekshmi. 

Tovino, who had recently won the Septimius Award for Best Asian Actor for his film 2018 , had previously said that the team of Ajayante Randam Moshanam are working on the post-production of the 3D action-adventure and wants to ensure that the “output is the best”. “We have conceived it as a big film and shot it also accordingly,” said the actor, who is currently filming for Jean Paul Lal’s Nadikar Thilakam in Hyderabad.

In an earlier interview with OTTplay, Jithin said that he had been working on the movie’s script for the past six years and had first bounced off the script with the Minnal Murali actor on the sets of Godha, which also had Wamiqa Gabbi in the lead.

Ajayante Randam Moshanam’s cast and plot 

The big budget film, which is set to release in multiple languages, also has Basil Joseph, Prakash Raj, Rohini, Basil Joseph and Pramod Shetty. Set in North Kerala, the movie will revolve around Maniyan, Kunjikelu and Ajayan – all of whom are reportedly trying to protect the most important treasure of the land. Tovino Thomas will be seen in a triple role for the first time in his career in Ajayante Randam Moshanam.

Earlier, the teaser of the upcoming period was released by the makers. Prithviraj had launched the Malayalam teaser while the Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, and Kannada versions were released by Hrithik Roshan, Nani, Karthi and Rakshit Shetty, respectively. Ajayante Randam Moshanam was shot in North Kerala as well as Tamil Nadu, and is set to release in late 2023 or early 2024, as per reports.
