Ajay Devgn has a slew of movies that are gearing up for release and the year 2022 is going to be another busy year for the star. His production The Great Indian Murder and his digital debut Rudra on Disney+ Hotstar are two releases he will be eagerly looking forward to in 2022.
The actor has now opened up about OTT platforms in a conversation with Pinkvilla. He said he is planning a lot of content and that their scripting is in progress now. He has also confirmed that there is a lot in the pipeline as far as OTT projects are concerned.
Talking about the digital medium, the actor said, ““The story and script are most important. What we couldn’t do in films, we can justify them on OTT. We can think of new ideas and put them up for our audience,”
He further added that it’s the excitement of giving new stories that is drawing him towards the digital world and that the platform is in its growing stage in the country. Ajay believes that it can eventually go much beyond the international shows with the unique kind of stories we can present from the Indian context.
He is also awaiting the release of big budget project RRR, directed by S.S. Rajamouli and starring Ram Charan and Jr NTR in the lead. He is also starring and directing Runway 34, co-starring Amitabh Bachchan, Rakul Preet Singh and Boman Irani.
The sports biopic Maidaan, where he essays the role of legendary Indian football coach Syed Abdul Rahim and his extended cameo in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Gangubai Kathiawala are other works his fans are looking forward to.
