Ajay Devgn promotes Maidaan playing cricket with Harbhajan Singh – pics

Ajay Devgn is currently caught up promoting his upcoming film Maidaan and for the same, he has a unique strategy. The actor, who plays a football coach in the film, was spotted playing cricket. Ajay himself shared photos of him promoting his movie along with cricketer Harbhajan Singh. They joined hands for a game of cricket.

The photos

In the photos shared by Ajay, he is seen both bowling as well as batting. Ajay went for a spin ball in the first photo. In the second, he was seen partnering with Harbhajan as batsmen. Ajay promoted his movie wearing a white tee with green overcoat, black pants and black leather shoes. The actor was a part of the IPL match between Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH). The latter won the match by six wickets.

About Maidaan

Maidaan is a story inspired from the Indian football legend (coach) Syed Abdul Rahim, who revolutionized the sport in India in the late 50s. The drama is set from 1952-1962 (Rahim died in 1963). It was thanks to his contribution to football that the former player is regarded as the father of the sport and that the era is called the ‘golden period’ for football in India. In today’s time, the sport is more popular outside India. It is especially popular in Argentina, Brazil, Germany and Italy.

Maidaan first reviews out

Although Maidaan will release in India on April 10, the movie is already out in Dubai. It released there on April 4. The first reviews of the movie are reportedly out and there is much praise for the last 30 minutes of the movie.

Maidaan, directed by Amit Sharma, stars Priyamani and Gajraj Rao in pivotal roles, apart from Ajay. Priyamani plays Ajay’s wife in the film.

The movie releases alongside Ali Abbas Zafar’s Bade Miyan Chote Miyan starring Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff. Interestingly, Imtiaz Ali’s Amar Singh Chamkila starring Diljit Dosanjh and Parineeti Chopra, will also be out in two days i.e. on April 12.
