Ajay Devgn-Kajol wish fans on Ganesh Chaturthi, former shares celebratory video ; WATCH

The country is in a celebratory mood as Indians ring in Ganesh Chaturthi this year, a Hindu festival that celebrates the birth of Lord Ganesha. This year's event started on August 31 and will last for 11 days, ending on September 9.

The Bollywood industry is also fervently and enthusiastically celebrating this holiday. One of B-town’s most popular couples,Kajol and Ajay Devgn, recently took to social media to send fans their best wishes to mark the occasion. Kajol chose to share a story on Instagram, sharing a photo of Lord Ganesha along with the message "Happy Ganesh Chaturthi." Meanwhile Ajay shared a video of himself with a Ganpati mantra as a caption. The video shows the star offering prayers to a Ganpati idol at a temple.

Meanwhile, according to the Hindu calendar, Ganesh Chaturthi is commemorated on the Chaturthi Tithi of Shukla Paksha in the month of Bhadrapada. The festival is observed across India, although it is particularly popular in the states of Karnataka, Maharashtra, and Gujarat.

On the work front, Ajay's upcoming film, Thank God, starring Sidharth Malhotra and Rakul Preet, is scheduled for a Diwali 2022 release. After that, he will appear in Drishyam 2, the Hindi adaptation of the Malayalam film of the same name. The actor also has Maidaan in the pipeline, although a release date for the same has not been set yet. On Ram Navami 2023, the movie Bholaa, in which he makes a comeback as a director, will be released. In addition to the aforementioned ventures, he will appear in Singham 3 and Golmaal 5.

On the other hand, Kajol's upcoming role is in Revathi's family drama Salaam Venky, which is still in production . She will also star in a yet to be titled Disney+ Hotstar web series directed by Suparn Varma.
