Aishwarya Rajesh seems to have found a new love for thrillers. After the success of her recent thriller Boomika, she is all set to work on her next, which is also said to be a thriller. Reports say she is paired alongside Arjun for the upcoming thriller helmed by newbie director Dinesh Lakshmanan. The premise of his directorial debut film is reportedly an investigation of a case involving a child with autism.
Touted as a female-centric film, the yet-to-be-titled movie will be set in a school for autistic children and Aishwarya Rajesh, who most recently made waves with her performance in Bhoomika, will portray a special education teacher.
According to reports in ToI, the upcoming film will see Arjun don the role of an investigating officer once again, but with a slight difference. Dinesh Lakshmanan explains that the film is different from the action star’s previous films and he will be seen focusing on his intellect rather than action prowess, to get to the bottom of the case.
Lakshmanan reveals that he got the idea for the unique story when he talked to a teacher who works with children with neurological conditions. He assures his audiences that although the film deals with such a sensitive and hard-hitting topic, it will not take on preachy overtones. He adds that people looked at such children through a certain lens, and he wants to change that.
Talking more about the film’s premise, the debutante says that although it will feature a deeper look into the world of autism, it will be the thriller oriented aspects that will get the plot moving. As per Sify.com, the film is set to begin shooting this week.
