Tamil superstar Kamal Haasan's previous blockbuster Vikram is now available for free streaming on Disney+Hotstar. Fans can watch the movie in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada and Hindi versions without the need for a subscription plan.
It's unclear why the platform has removed the paywall for Vikram. However, it has added to the growing speculations about the movie's overlapping storyline with Thalapathy Vijay's upcoming movie Leo.

Many might wonder whether Vikram has been made available for free streaming to refresh the memories of fans ahead of the release of Leo next week.
Leo is set to make its box office debut on October 19 and is suspected to be an extension of director Lokesh Kanagaraj's cinematic universe, known as LCU.
So far the director has added two movies in the universe: Vikram and Kaithi. And Lokesh has neither confirmed nor denied whether Leo is an addition to this expansive cinematic world.
It's noteworthy that only on the eve of the release of Vikram last year, Lokesh revealed its plot connection with Kaithi, starring Karthi. Just a few hours before its theatrical debut, Lokesh tweeted urging fans to watch Kathi before Vikram.
It remains to be seen whether Lokesh is waiting to repeat the same routine during the release of Leo.

In Vikram, Lokesh tells the story of a retired spy, who goes by the street name, Ghost. Vikram, played by Kamal, enjoys the status of a legend in the world of espionage and he's forced to come out of retirement when his son is killed by a drug cartel.
Vikram regroups with his former comrades from his espionage days and starts a war on drugs. He vows to fulfil the dream of his slain son, who was a police officer, by creating a drug-free society.
Besides Kamal, Vikram also stars Vijay Sethupathi, Fahadh Faasil, Narain and Kalidas Jayaram among others in supporting roles.
