aha's Locked renewed for a second season

After much deliberation, Telugu OTT platform aha has finally renewed one of its web originals for a second season. Locked, the survival thriller directed by Pradeep Deva Kumar, starring Satyadev Kancharana, Samyuktha Hegde, Keshav Deepak, Sree Lakshmi and Bindu Chandramouli in key roles, will return for a sequel titled Locked - Chapter 2. Director Pradeep and actor Satyadev are the only names expected to be retained for the season with the makers planning to rope in a new set of actors. The shoot is set to commence soon.

For the uninitiated, Locked is a story revolving around a neurosurgeon Dr Anand Chakravarthy, who's an expert at solving complex medical cases and is well known his breathtaking research work. However, he hides a dark secret from the world that could potentially destroy his career. Three burglars try to con the medico at his house on a night, only to make a fool out of themselves and notice people getting murdered one after the other. Will they manage to escape from the crime scene? The show is a rollercoaster ride of various twists and turns that keeps viewers glued to their screens.

"Locked is one of the most-watched shows on aha and the platform was keen to explore newer possibilities with the premise. It was a no-brainer to renew for a second season," a source from the team adds. Some of the other popular web originals on aha include Mastis, Sin, Kotha Poradu, In the Name of God, 11th Hour, Addham, Sam Jam, All is Well, Commitmental, Mail and Geetha Subrahmanyam. Among these shows, Sin is also expected to have a second season soon too.
