Ahan Shetty bags his second film after Tadap; to romance Pooja Hegde in Sanki

Ahan Shetty, son of Suniel Shetty, is gearing up for his second film in Bollywood. After making his breakthrough in Tadap (2021) by Milan Luthria, the star kid will continue his affiliation with Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment and star in Sajid Nadiadwala's tentpole production, Sanki.

The production house took to their social media pages and made the announcement, revealing that the romantic action drama will have Pooja Hegde and Ahan as its lead actors. The film is scheduled to debut on Valentine's Day 2025, which falls on February 14.

High-dudget production with international locations

Reports from PeepingMoon indicate that the film will have a high-budget production shot across various locations in India and worldwide. A source told the entertainment portal that for a long time, Sajid has been working on this project. Ahan will continue to demonstrate his flexibility in this new film, which lives up to its wild and fun title, by assuming the role of a completely renegade character, building on his acting debut in Tadap. A source close to the film also told the portal that the newfound chemistry between Pooja and him is increasing the excitement for this action extravaganza.

Adnan A. Shaikh and Yasir Jah will work together to direct Sanki, written by Rajat Arora of Once Upon a Time in Mumbaai. They have both worked on films like Tadap, the Baaghi trilogy, and the Heropanti films on their own, and they are a part of Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment. Production will begin this month, following months of pre-production. Sanki will hit the big screen in early 2025.

Ahan Shetty's anticipation for upcoming projects

Ahan replied, "There are a few things in the pipeline right now," when asked about his upcoming project during an exclusive interaction with OTTplay in 2022. He added, "I can't discuss it too much. But there will be an announcement, hopefully within a month or a month and a half's time. All I can say right now is that I do have a contract with Sajid Nadiadwala. So I'll be working with him again very soon."
