Balu Gani Talkies: Aha announces new original - a nostalgic period drama | Deets inside

Aha is one of the most popular OTT platforms in the Telugu digital space. With each passing day, Aha is seeing greater heights in terms of OTT content. In the year 2024, Aha is gearing up with a lot of OTT originals and some of them have already been released. 

Aha announces its new film Balu Gani Talkies

Now, Aha has announced an OTT direct film titled Balu Gani Talkies. The first-look poster of the film was also released, and by the looks of it, Balu Gani Talkies is a period drama set in the early 90s, where single screens used to be the thing in the small towns of Telugu states.

The poster showcases a box that contains the film reel, and in the background, we can see the rate of the ticket mentioned as Rs 20. Balu is the main character in the film whose talkies are showcased in the poster. The makers did not reveal the lead pair of the film but have announced the technical crew of Balu Gani Talkies. The poster also showcases the word Jai Balayya, which means that the protagonist in the film is an ardent Nandamuri Balakrishna fan, and this makes things quite interesting.

The film is written and directed by Vishwanath Prathap and has music by Smaran. Sreenidhi Sagar is the producer of this film which also has Rupak Pranav Tej as the co-producer. Aditya BN has composed the background score for this film which has been made on a low budget and will mostly feature actors who are popular from the OTT space.

The makers also did not announce the release date but we have come to know that Balu Gani Talkies will be out in the second week of August 2024, as per the news. We need to see who stars in this film and when the release date will be announced. For now, the first-look poster has caught the attention of one and all. Watch this space for more updates.
