These are nervous times for Akhil Akkineni as the biggest project of his career - in terms of budget, scale and ambition - Agent - is gearing up for a release in two weeks on April 28. The film, directed by Surender Reddy, faced several delays with its shoot over a span of two years, leaving very little time for the team to wrap up post-production formalities and plan a release in over five languages.
Sakshi Vaidya, who makes her acting debut as a female lead with Agent, isn’t the only entrant in the film. Yes, you heard it right! Agent also marks popular Hindi film actor Dino Morea’s foray into Telugu cinema. A look of the actor from Agent was unveiled today. He’s introduced as The God in an impactful poster, as he holds a machine gun in his hand, sporting long hair and grey beard.
The injury marks on the eyebrows and the forehead of Dino Morea piques your curiosity. The actor who entered Hindi films with Pyaar Mein Kabhi Kabhi went onto make a name for himself with several films like Raaz, Aksar in addition to rare appearances in Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam films like Kandukondien Kandukondein, Julie and Solo respectively.
Malayalam star Mammootty will be seen in another crucial role in Agent too. Three songs from the film are out already - Endhe Endhe, Malli Malli and Rama Krishna. Composer duo Hiphop Tamizha work on the film’s music. An announcement on the trailer will be made shortly and the makers are racing against time to stick to deadlines.
Rasool Ellore cranks the camera for the film whose crew also comprises noted technicians like editor Navin Nooli and art director Avinash Kolla. Written by Vakkantham Vamsi, the film is produced by Ramabrahmam Sunkara under AK Entertainments (who’s also backing Chiranjeevi’s Bholaa Shankar) in association with Surender 2 Cinema. Ajay Sunkara, Pathi Deepa Reddy are the co-producers.
