After Surya S/O Krishnan, Dhanush's Raghuvaran B. Tech aka Vellaiilla Pattadhari re-releases to rousing reception

It looks like it's the season of Tamil re-releases in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. After the rousing reception to Vellaiilla Pattadhari aka Vaaranam Aayiram, Dhanush's super hit film, Vellaiilla Pattadhari has released today to packed theatres. Pictures of the re-release celebrations are now doing the rounds on the internet. In the videos that have surfaced on the internet, fans are celebrating the film with gusto.

Vellaiilla Pattadhari, directed by Velraj, is said to be a milestone in Dhanush's career. The action comedy drama had Dhanush playing an unemployed graduate and how he eventually lands a job and faces many hurdles after that. The star cast includes Dhanush, Amala Paul, Vivek, Saranya Ponvannan, Samuthirakani, Amitash Pradhan and Surbhi. Dhanush had also doubled up as the producer to the film, which marked cinematographer Velraj's debut as a filmmaker.

Music by Anirudh Ravichander turned out to be one of the highlights of the film. The film revolved around the problem of unemployed graduates in the society. While Dhanush makes the audience empathise with his character with self pity, he soon transforms into a powerful man who is ready to prove a point. The film was dubbed in Telugu as Raghuvaran B. Tech.

The trend of Tamil films re-release seems to becoming a norm in Telugu speaking states. It was only recently that the Telugu version of Gautham Menon's Vaaranam Aayiram, Surya S/O Krishnan, opened to rousing reception. The film received such warm response that Suriya himself was quite taken aback and took to his social media handle to thank the audience.

 "This love is a huge surprise!!! A big thank you from team #SuriyaSonOfKrishnan Awestruck - you guys are the best!!," tweeted Suriya, while sharing a video of his fans celebrating the movie in a theatre. Surya S/O Krishnan re-released in a significant number of screens in the Telugu states and ran to packed houses and it looks like Raghuvaran B. Tech will follow suit.
