One anthology every month seems to be Netflix’s strategy. With Ray releasing today and Mani Ratnam’s Navarasa scheduled for an August release, the romantic anthology Feels Like Ishq is reported to be slotted in as a July release.

The Hindi anthology, which has seven segments, is directed by Ruchir Arun, Anand Tiwari, Danish Aslam, Jaydeep Sarkar, Tahira Kashyap Khurrana, Ashima Chibber and Sachin Kundalkar.

The series of short films also has a well-rounded cast featuring Radhika Madan, Mihir Ahuja, Amol Parashar, Skand Thakur, Zayn Marie Khan and Neeraj Madhav.

The Family Man actor Neeraj Madhav had earlier told us that he completed his portions for the anthology last year. “I shot for Feels Like Ishq in November. I am part of director Sachin Kundalkar’s segment that also has Aamir Khan’s niece Zayn Khan.”

The streaming service had in March announced Feels Like Ishq as part of the list of projects that will be dropping this year.

Feels Like Ishq has featurettes revolving around “young adults as they navigate the gamut of emotions that come with finding romantic connection in unexpected places”.

Meanwhile, Ray, which released on June 25, features four segments based on legendary filmmaker Satyajit Ray’s short stories. It has a star-studded cast featuring Manoj Bajpayee, Gajraj Rao, Kay Kay Menon, Ali Fazal, Harshvarrdhan Kapoor, Radhika Madan and Anindita Bose.

The Navarasa series, created by filmmaker Mani Ratnam, has nine directors including Gautham Vasudev Menon, Priyadarshan, Bejoy Nambiar, Karthik Subbaraj and Vasanth helming segments featuring actors such as Suriya, Siddharth, Arvind Swami, Parvathy, Vijay Sethupathi and Aditi Balan.

Netflix is also in talks to produce a Malayalam anthology series, based on MT Vasudevan Nair’s works. Directors Santosh Sivan and Priyadarshan are also attached to the project, which is expected to go on floors soon.
