After Puber Moyna, Zee Bangla drops a new promo of Diamond Didi Zindabad

A few days back, Zee Bangla shared the promo of the serial Puber Moyna. On Tuesday, it announced another mega, Diamond Didi Zindabad. The channel announced the show time and date also. 

The serial will start on June 24 at the 9 pm slot. It will be shown from Monday to Saturday. So, it replaces Alor Kole. Star Jalsha also brought a new serial in this slot. Honey Bafna and Sonamoni Saha’s Subho Bibaho replaced Jol Thoi Thoi Bhalobasha in this slot. It remains to see which of these two new serials can capture the slot.

The story’s heroine Diamond dreams of opening a restaurant. It will be famous and people will shout ‘Diamond Didi Zindabad’. She is so engrossed in her dream that she neglects the housework. Diamond’s elder sister scolds her, “You are again daydreaming! You dropped the books on the floor and increased my work. Everything in this house is broken.” Diamond promises her sister to make a beautiful house, but her elder brother makes fun of her, saying that she passed the HS for the third time and should be married. 

Then Diamond is seen as a waitress in a restaurant. The hero and his family came to dine there. The hero is food-vlogging and his father teases him about that. Then Diamond comes to their table to take orders. She asks them in English ‘What would you like to have?’ The hero’s mother asks her ‘Is there anything you recommend?’ Diamond, with her limited English knowledge, doesn’t know the meaning of the word ‘recommend’. She stammers and suggests non-veg. The family gets angry and insults her. The restaurant owner also kicks her out because she doesn’t know English. 

The hero is seen vlogging the incident with his camera. His camera shows how Diamond challenges the owner that she will make a larger restaurant that will attract more customers. Then she turns to the hero and says to vlog about people like her as well, instead of vlogging only about rich people. 

However, there were some adverse comments on social media about the promo. Many people compared it to the real-life social media star, Nandinidi, who runs a pice hotel in Dalhousie. One person commented ‘It seems Nandini di lite. So a serial will now be made on her also. What a disgrace!’
