After Pink, Kirti Kulhari and Angad Bedi to share the screen yet again in a ‘futuristic’ film; read on

After their electrifying performances in Pink, Kirti Kulhari and Angad Bedi are set to share the screen yet again. It was announced that the duo will star in an upcoming yet to be titled short film.

The upcoming short film will reportedly revolve around a ‘futuristic’ theme and is said to be an ‘experimental’ film about a couple. In a statement, a source revealed that the duo had already wrapped up the shoot of the film this year . The upcoming film was reportedly very ‘concept heavy’ and was set in a dystopian future world. The severe impact of technology on modern life is also a theme that the film explores as well.

The short film will be directed by Gaurav Dave and bankrolled by Siddharth Roy Kapur. The makers are planning to release the film on a prominent OTT platform soon.

Kirti and Angad had last shared the screen together in Pink, which also starred Taapsee Pannu, Andrea Tariang, Amitabh Bachchan, Tushar Pandey, Piyush Mishra, and Dhritiman Chatterjee. Directed by Aniruddha Roy Chowdhury, the film went on to win the National award for Best Film on Other Social Issues and was remade in Tamil and Telugu as Nerkonda Paarvai (2019) and Vakeel Saab (2021), respectively. Pink can be streamed on Disney+ Hotstar and Amazon Prime Video.

Meanwhile, Kirti was last seen sharing the screen with Shefali Shah in the Disney+ Hotstar series Human. The actress will next be seen in the film Nayeka, written by Ajaykiran Nair, which she will reportedly also produce.

Angad will next be seen in the upcoming R Balki directorial Ghooomer, which also features Abhishek Bachchan and Saiyami Kher. The former will also be seen in a segment of Lust Stories 2 helmed by Balki. The actor will share the screen with Mrunal Thakur in the upcoming anthology film.
