Akkineni Nagarjuna is the man of the moment, making headlines for various reasons. While his hosting on Bigg Boss 8 Telugu is facing criticism, Nagarjuna is in a happy space personally as his son, Naga Chaitanya, is set to marry his girlfriend, Sobhita Dhulipala, in a very private ceremony at Annapurna Studios in Hyderabad on December 4, 2024.

Latest update on Nagarjuna Akkineni's new film

Adding to the celebrations, Nagarjuna recently announced the engagement of his younger son, Akhil, to Zainub. On the professional front, Nagarjuna has signed a new film, according to the latest updates.

Reports suggest that he has approved Sri Harsha's new project, which will be announced soon. Sri Harsha, a talented director, has previously helmed Husharu, Rowdy Boys, and the recently released Om Bheem Bush.

A source close to the actor revealed that Sri Harsha met Nagarjuna recently and narrated a script that Nagarjuna loved, giving his approval immediately. If all goes according to plan, the film is expected to go on floors in the first half of 2025. A formal announcement is likely to be made during the auspicious Sankranthi festival in January 2025.

Nagarjuna mostly doing multi-starrer these days

Nagarjuna is currently at a stage in his career where his solo films are not drawing significant traction from audiences. This is one of the reasons he has started collaborating with other stars. He will be seen in a key role in Kubera, a film starring Dhanush and directed by Sekhar Kammula.
