After KGF: Chapter 2, Sanjay Dutt bags a Telugu horror-comedy with Prabhas

Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt is poised to work with superstar Prabhas after sharing the screen with Yash in the second KGF instalment. Sanjay Dutt has been cast in the South star and director Maruthi's untitled horror-comedy as a key character.

The casting for filmmaker Maruthi's untitled Prabhas-starring film is reportedly becoming fascinating now that Sanjay Dutt and Zarina Wahab have been brought on board. According to reports, Sanjay will play a significant role as a grandfather. According to the source, two schedules for the movie have already been finished in Hyderabad and that it is only being shot in Telugu. Meanwhile, talking about Sanjay Dutt's character, Pinkvilla quoted a source as saying, "It is not a negative but a very important role." 

Speaking of Zarina's character, the portal quoted a source saying, “Zarina is playing the most pivotal role of a mother and a grandmother both. Zarina’s scenes were shot last week in Hyderabad. It was just a week-long shoot. With this, Zarina’s two schedules get over. The second schedule was finished on December 17.” The source further added, “Zarina is excited about playing this role, as she will be playing this pivotal role for the first time in her career. She is also excited to work with Maruthi and work in her mother tongue, Telugu. Zarina will be seen in a never-seen-before kind of role.”

This horror-comedy is built on the crucial characters of the grandma, the grandfather, and the grandson, the source said when disclosing the project's specifics. The schedule for Sanjay and Zarina will start in February 2023. 

This Prabhas-starrer includes three fresh female leads, the source concluded. Prabhas is busy, hence the movie won't be continuously filmed. The shooting schedule will be determined by Prabhas' availability. The most recent week of filming is now finished, and the following week will shoot in Hyderabad on December 25 and 26.

However, it is important to note that neither the director nor the actor have, as of yet, formally acknowledged their involvement in the project.
