It looks like Superstar Rajinikanth has resumed the shoot for Lal Salaam, a sports drama, helmed by his daughter and director Aishwarya Rajinikanth. The shoot for the film is currently happening in Puducherry and a video of Rajinikanth in his character, Moideen Bhai, is doing the rounds on the internet. It looks like the shoot will continue for two more weeks in Chennai and Puducherry. Fans are quite kicked about getting a glimpse of their favourite Superstar in flesh and blood.

It was not long ago that the Superstar had begun the shoot for the film in Mumbai. Rajinikanth is playing a cameo in the sports drama. The film stars Vishnu Vishal and Vikranth in the lead and both are said to be playing cricketers in the film. Interestingly, both the actors are cricketers in real life as well and are often part of the team Chennai Rhinos in the Celebrity Cricket League.

The first schedule was completed recently which spanned around 34 days. The film's production house has dropped a video in which the entire team is celebrating the schedule wrap with a cake-cutting ceremony.

Sharing his excitement about the film, Vishnu Vishal wrote, "A beautiful road leads to a beautiful journey and a wonderful destination #LalSalaam Thankss to my director @ash_rajinikanth for making this as one of my most memorable journeys…. She is in full control :) (sic)." Music for the film is by AR Rahman. Lal Salaam is bankrolled by Lyca Productions.

Meanwhile, Rajinikanth's Jailer is gearing up to hit screens on August 10. Sun Pictures, which is bankrolling the film, made the announcement today and dropped a glimpse of the power-packed film. The film also stars Shiva Rajkumar, Jackie Shroff, Sunil, Mohanlal, Ramya Krishnan, Tamanaah, Yogi Babu, Vasanth Ravi, Redin Kingsley, Vinayakan, Jaffer Sadiq, to name a few.
