After Dahaad's success, Sohum Shah gives an update on the much-awaited Tumbbad 2

Sohum Shah's performance as police officer Kailash Parghi in the new film Dahaad has been well received. The actor appeared in the Zoya Akhtar and Reema Kagti-created Prime Video series alongside Sonakshi Sinha, Vijay Varma, and Gulshan Devaiah.

The actor told ETimes that he feels tremendously validated by the response. In addition, he considers Parghi to be the most approachable figure in his oeuvre. Sohum's admirers continue to shower him with praise, but they all want to know about Tumbbad 2.

Sohum responded by saying that they are in the writing stage for Tumbbad 2. He doesn't want to make something merely because the first iteration succeeded. Until he is happy with the story or until he has evidence that supports it, he will be unable to move further. So, they won't make a call until they have finished writing. But of course, he wants to continue the series with a sequel, a third instalment, and so on!

Meanwhile, the actor is working on a bigger-than-Tumbbad dream project. He says that it's double the size of Tumbbad. It's set in the past, and this unusual film follows a man who returns home from World War II as the Spanish Flu epidemic unfolds. It also serves as a love story. It's a huge undertaking, especially for him, but it's her dream project. Additionally, Sohum produced the movie.

Crazy is another project in which Sohum has a role or is producing. It lives up to the moniker in every way. The film focuses on a single protagonist who is on a road trip by himself. Therefore, it's obvious that he will be switching to a wide variety of new characters shortly. They are currently editing Crazy. 

Girish Kohli, who created the script for the Sridevi film Mom, is the film's director. This is his first time helming a film.
