It seems that the day and date of April 4 this year belongs to the young and dynamic film maker Ayan Mukerji. Today is the day when two big film announcements got made in which Ayan Mukerji plays a ‘MAJOR ROLE’. While on one hand, Ayan Mukerji himself took to social media and announced the timelines of the much-awaited ‘Brahmastra 2’ and ‘Brahmastra 3’. On the other hand, well known trade analyst took to social media and made a mega announcement about the film maker Ayan Mukerji now being all set to direct ‘WAR 2’ for Yash Raj Films.
Taran Adarsh took to social media and posted, “BIGGG DEVELOPMENT… AYAN MUKERJI TO DIRECT ‘’ FOR YRF… HRITHIK ROSHAN CONFIRMED… #AdityaChopra signs #AyanMukerji to direct #War2… The 7th film in the #YRF Spy Universe, which will follow the events of #Tiger3”. As per Taran Adarsh’s tweet, WAR 2 will be the seventh film in Yash Raj Films’ ‘Spy Universe’. Taran also mentioned that it will follow the events of ‘Tiger 3’.
For the unversed, Hrithik Roshan had starred in Yash Raj Films’ WAR, in which he had played the memorable role of Major Kabir Dhaliwal. His counterpart in the film was Tiger Shroff, who was seen doing ‘dual roles’ Captain Khalid Rahmani and also that of Captain Saurabh Patil. Besides the two actors Hrithik Roshan and Tiger Shroff, ‘WAR’ also starred Vaani Kapoor, Ashutosh Rana and Anupriya Goenka.
And as for Ayan Mukerji’s announcement regarding the timelines of ‘Brahmastra 2’ and ‘Brahmastra, the film maker did that on social media, wherein he posted, ‘The Time has come - for some updates on the Brahmastra Trilogy, the Astraverse, and my Life! After absorbing all the love and the feedback on Part One... I have been focused on creating the Vision for Part Two and Part Three - which I now know will be bigger and more ambitious than Part One! I have learnt that we need a little more time to perfect the script of Brahmastra Two and Three! And...I have decided that we are going to make the two films... Together! Allowing them to also release closer together!”
In the same post, he added, ‘I have a timeline in place to achieve this, which I am sharing with you all today! I also have another piece of news to share...The Universe has presented me with a very special opportunity recently a very special movie - to step into and direct! What the movie is... More on that when the time is right :) An opportunity that challenges me and terribly excites me... one where I will learn, be inspired and where I will grow! So, I have decided to take it up!!
