A pandemic and several consequent lockdowns later, director Blessy and Prithviraj Sukumaran have completed the foreign schedule of Aadujeevitham. The team had first headed to Jordan in February 2020, before the pandemic, and wrapped up its foreign schedule on June 14, 2022.
The initial plans of the team didn’t work out with the country going under lockdown in March 2020 just like the rest of the world due to the pandemic. The cast and crew, however, did manage to shoot a few portions while being stranded in Wadi Rum, Jordan, till April 2020, before returning to India.
There was a huge gap before the next schedule of the film. In fact, Prithviraj managed to complete shooting Cold Case, Bhramam, Kuruthi, Jana Gana Mana, Kaduva and also directing Bro Daddy between the two schedules. The actor along with the team of Aadujeevitham left for Algeria in April 2022.
They had shot for a month in the country before moving to Jordan in May to complete the remaining portions. On Tuesday, Prithviraj took to his social media page to share that the team has wrapped up shooting its foreign portions and that he will be heading home now. “What a journey!” he captioned the photo of the sets that he had shared.
The team are now expected to shoot for another 10 days before wrapping up the shoot of Aadujeevitham, which first began in 2018 with Prithviraj and Amala Paul. Blessy has been attached to the film for over a decade now. The dream project, which is based on Benyamin’s eponymous novel, is made on a big budget and will be released in several languages.
AR Rahman, who had visited the team in Jordan earlier this month, will be composing for the movie that is expected to release in theatres later this year or early in 2023.
