Ae Watan Mere Watan: It's a wrap for Sara Ali Khan's period drama film

This year, Sara Ali Khan has shot her upcoming movies on multiple sets, which has kept her quite busy. While she has finished filming Laxman Utekar's untitled film, in which she co-stars with Vicky Kaushal, and Gaslight, in which she co-stars with Vikrant Massey, she has also finished filming Ae Watan Mere Watan, her third movie that she shot this year.

Sara updated her followers on social media as she shot a late-night schedule for Ae Watan Mere Watan following her fashion show, concluding around 10:44 am. After the filing was over, she shared a picture with her team. Sharing athe pictures on her Instagram stories, the Kedarnath actress wrote, "It's a wrap, Tune-in-to 42.34m". With this Sara mentioned in the caption - "AE WATAN MERE WATAN". 

The actress has a big line up for the upcoming year, so next year seems like really jam-packed with different genre movies for Sara fans. About Ae Watan Mere Watan, the movie is produced by Dharma Productions, and the actress will play independence warrior Usha Mehta in it. The freedom fighter is rumoured to be the one who launches Congress Radio, an underground radio station. It operated for a brief period of time during the 1942 Quit India Movement. It made a significant impact during those few months by transmitting news that was unedited and other information that the British government of India had forbade, substantially assisting the freedom movement. 

Apart from Ae Watan Mere Watan, Sara Ali Khan also has Metro In Dino in her kitty. The film also stars Aditya Roy Kapoor and will be directed by Anurag Basu.
