After scoring two of the biggest hits in his career in 2022 and expanding his fan base across industries - with Major and Hit 2 - one expected Adivi Sesh to sign a flurry of projects. However, he’s more cautious than ever before, signing projects that’ll help him push the bar every time he appears on the screen. He is currently working on two films - the spy thriller Goodachari 2 and an untitled pan Indian action drama.
Spilling the beans about both the films over a chat, the Evaru star shares, “Goodachari 2 is a massive film that unfolds across five countries. I’m sure Hindi audiences would find it appealing. My action film with Shruti Haasan is being made in Hindi and Telugu. It’s an intense action love story and has a new genre. We’re taking immense care with the casting and treatment of as per the tastes of audiences.”

Goodachari 2 begins amidst a mountainous backdrop - continuing from where Agent Gopi had unfinished business in the first instalment. “We had a sequel in mind right during the release of Goodachari. But it was important that the audiences were excited for it. The joy is different when we give them a sequel right when the crowds want it.”
While Vinay Kumar Sirigineedi (who was also the editor for Major) helms Goodachari 2, he is paired opposite Banita Sandhu in the thriller. For his other film, he is joining forces with Kshanam fame cinematographer Shaneil Deo. Both the films are expected to release in the latter half of 2023 across multiple languages.
On introducing cinematographer Shaneil Deo as a director, Sesh states, “He showed us a short film during the making of Kshanam, which also premiered at Cannes Film Festival. We were surprised with his potential. His ultimate ambition is to direct a film. I was quite excited about working with him ever since.”
