Aditya Roy Kapur is all set to grace the silver screen with his new, embellished avatar in Rashtra Kavach Om. The film, just as the title suggests, comes as an apologetic action vehicle that features Kapur as the brooding mean machine that also boasts of the most chiseled physique. Ahead of the release of Rashtra Kavach Om, the actor has been busy interacting with the media about his exciting project and also the changing face of Indian cinema, courtesy of the recent “pan-India” phenomenon.
“As a movie buff, I think it’s great to be exposed to so many new films, great films. And it’s better for us (film viewers) because we get to watch cinema from all around the country,” said Aditya Roy Kapur in his recent chat with Pinkvilla. Not echoing the skepticism surrounding pan-India cinema, Aditya praised South Indian cinema and added that the Rocking Star Yash starrer K.G.F: Chapter 2 is his favorite among the lot!
In another interview (with Bollywood Hungama), Kapur also alluded to the fact that films K.G.F: Chapter 2, RRR, and Pushpa have found tremendous success not just because of their larger-than-life canvas but also due to the relatable emotional core that ultimately charmed the audience. He would state in the same interview that his film too has a strong emotional story that the audience is likely to connect to, beyond all the high-octane action.
Rashtra Kavach Om will release on July 1 in cinema halls across the country and collide with R. Madhavan’s Rocketry: The Nambi Effect at the box office. Om also stars Jackie Shroff, Prakash Raj, Sanjana Sanghi, Ashutosh Rana, and others. The film has been directed by Ahmed Khan.
KGF 2 had thumping success across the world but especially in the Hindi belt, with the Hindi-dubbed release reaping great rewards at the box office. K.G.F: Chapter 2 (Hindi) outdid films like War and Thugs of Hindostan to secure the biggest opening in the history of Hindi cinema, and even went on to beat the Aamir Khan starrer Dangal in its pursuits. The film, directed by Prashanth Neel in the third spot on the list of highest-grossing Indian movies.
