Team Adipurush is striving hard with respect to the pre-release promotions of the film. The word 'striving' is of the essence here, considering that the first teaser of the film which was released a few months ago attracted a lot of negative responses. Following that, director Om Raut and Co. have evidently gone back to the drawing board to address all the shortcomings and render a better version of the mythological epic.
Earlier today (April 22), the makers released a special poster of the film that was followed by a 60-second-long lyrical video. The new update marked the auspicious occasion of Akshaya Tritiya and the lyrical clip, titled Jai Shri Ram, was released in five different languages, including Hindi, Kannada, Telugu, Tamil and Malayalam.
The Kannada version of the clip includes the words of popular song lyricist V. Nagendra Prasad and the divine number has been generating encouraging responses from all corners. Although the reviews aren't unanimously positive, the comments on YouTube certainly suggest that netizens have liked the special track. 'Goosebumps' is the operative word so far and many of the comments have exclaimed that the Jai Shri Ram song has struck the right chord with them.
In the same vein, a few social media users have pointed out that the Kannada lyrics could have been a lot more powerful, adding that team Adipurush could have opted for Jayant Kaikini instead of V. Nagendra Prasad.
Adipurush is an opulent retelling of the tale of Ramayana with Telugu superstar Prabhas playing the role of Lord Rama (as Raghava) and Kriti Sanon playing Sita (as Janaki) in the film. Adipurush releases worldwide on June 16, 2023.
