Prabhas and Kriti Sanon starrer Adipurush is the highly anticipated Indian epic drama film. The film generated a huge buzz among movie buffs as soon as it was announced. Directed by Om Raut, the mythological film based on the Hindu epic Ramayana.

Release Date

Adipurush is slated to have a theatrical release on June 16 all over India.

Cast

Prabhas and Kriti Sanon simultaneously play the iconic roles of Lord Ram and Sita named Raghava and Janaki. Joining the pivotal cast, Sunny Singh plays Lakshman along with Saif Ali Khan, who will be seen as Ravana. The Om Raut directorial also has Devdatta Nage, Vatsal Sheth, Sonal Chauhan and Trupti Toradmal.

Controversies

Soon after the release of the first teaser video, the netizens stormed social media with a lot of criticism over the portrayal and the look of the actors in the film. Among most of the looks, the cinephiles criticized the way Saif's Ravana and Devdatta's Hanuman looked. However, among everything, the movie buffs got disappointed with the amateurish VFX effect.

Box Office Prediction and Advance Bookings

Reportedly, the upcoming movie has seen a great number of advance bookings in Telugu states and the Northern part of the country
