Adipurush 2023: Release date, Cast, Budget, Trailer, Behind the scenes & more

The much-awaited trailer of the film, Adipurush, is finally out. Featuring Kriti Sanon and Prabhas in key roles, the film is based on the mythological epic Ramayana. Soon as the trailer dropped at the launch event, fans began chanting Jai Shri Ram.

In the film, Prabhas is essaying the role of Raghav whereas Sanon is playing the role of Janaki. Actor Saif Ali Khan plays the role of Lankesh. Unlike the teaser, the iailer is quite an improvement in terms of graphics and overall visual display.

Budget of the film

Though speculations are rife that the budget of film is over Rs 500 crores thereby making the film as one of the most expensive films of Hindi cinema, there is no official confirmation on the development. Some news portals also claim that South star Prabhas has charged a whooping Rs 100 crores as his fees to work in this magnum opus.

About the Trailer

The trailer of Adipurush released today afternoon. Directed by Om Raut, this film details about the life of Goddess Sita and Lord Ram as portrayed in the epic Ramayana. The film appears promising as the trailer caters to minute details mentioned in the mythological saga. Drawing inspiration from Goddess Sita and Lord Ram, Kriti Sanon will play the role of Janaki and Prabhas will be Raghav. Saif will act as an antagonist and will be called Lankesh.

While only time will tell how the film will perform at the box office, Kriti today spoke about how she felt while working for the film. At a press meeting today, she said, “I have poured my heart and soul into Janaki. I had complete faith in the role but while shooting for the movie I started learning more and more about this character. She is very pure, has a kind soul, a loving heart and a strong mind. In my poster as well you will see, there is pain, but there is no fear in it. It was a huge emotion for me. We are mere humans, forgive us if we have faltered.”
