The makers of the upcoming Malayalam film, Adios Amigo, provided an update on when it will be released in theatres. August 9 is when the comedy-drama is set to debut on large screens. The release date was revealed in a new poster that the cast and crew recently shared. The film was originally scheduled to premiere on August 2 in theatres, but it was postponed to mourn the many lives lost in the devastating Wayanad landslides.
The trailer suggests that the film is centred on two strangers who happen to meet and go on a journey together end up becoming friends. Suraj Venjaramoodu portrays a man who is having financial difficulties, while Asif Ali plays a carefree man with a strong background. After meeting, they embark on an impromptu journey leading to number of hilarious events. According to the two-minute video, the movie is about their journey, friendship, and the unforeseen difficulties they encounter. The supporting cast includes Shine Tom Chacko, Ganapathy, Althaf Salim, Jinu Joseph, Salim Hassan, Anagha, Muthumani, and Riaa Saira.
The movie posters seemed to depict Thiruvananthapuram as the story's setting. The film, which is being billed as a full-fledged comedy drama, is written by Kettyolaanu Ente Malakha-fame Thankam. Nahas Nazar makes his directorial debut with Adios Amigo. The movie was shot in 58 days, the producer recently disclosed to a media outlet. The film has received financial backing from Ashiq Usman.
August 2 was supposed to be the theatrical release date for a few Malayalam films, but that were postponed. The heavy rains that are battering parts of the state and the landslides in Wayanad that claimed multiple lives on July 30 are the causes of the delay. August 2 was the release date for the Manju Warrier film Footage, the comedy drama Adios Amigo starring Asif Ali and Suraj Venjaramoodu, and the horror drama Chithini starring Vinay Forrt.
