Last year, Adam Sandler proved to everyone that he can do even more than make us laugh! He did a great job as a voice actor in the animated movie - Leo on Netflix. In the movie Leo is a wise and a bit grumpy 74-year-old lizard, who finds out he only has one year left to live. With only a little time left, Leo wants to experience everything he can. Adam Sandler and his friend Bill Burr lent their voices for Leo and his turtle buddy Squirtle, and everyone loved it.

However, this year, Sandler is back with another striking performance in the sci-fi movie - Spaceman with Netflix, to prove that he has more to impress other than just punchlines. You will be amazed to see him tackle a serious part in this new movie, which will be released on March 1, 2024 only on Netflix.

Netflix finally dropped the much-awaited trailer on January 16. It introduces us to astronaut Jakub (Adam Sandler), who is getting ready for a solo trip to space. He has to spend six months there now, and he is drowning in deep thoughts alone, while jogging inside the spacecraft. In the trailer, it is revealed that the giant alien like creature is a spider. The creature asks Sandler to not be afraid of it, as it is also exploring things in the space just like him.
The trailer shows how Jakub’s wife Lenka (Carey Mulligan) is super pissed with him. She tells Jakub, “You go where I go, and I go where you go. Right, Spaceman?” The spider consoles Jakub that whatever has began, must end. Lastly, Jakub says that he just wants to come back home.
Spaceman first look
Last year, Netflix dropped the first look from Spaceman, where it showed Adam Sandler as an astronaut. Lost in space, he seeks solace from his broken marriage. There he finds an alien, who is surprisingly an amazing therapist as well. Inspired by Jaroslav Kalfař's 2017 novel, Spaceman of Bohemia, this adventure-thriller explores the depths of human connection, amid the infinite unknown.

Fans are blown away by Adam Sandler's serious side in the new trailer. We have seen him crack us up in thrillers like Murder Mystery, but this new movie is next-level. Forget the jokes and punchlines, Spaceman is pure suspense, and Sandler totally nails it. This might be his most surprising role till date.

Although Adam Sandler takes center stage in Spaceman, the movie’s true magic lies in its ensemble star cast. Carey Mulligan and Paul Dano deliver fine performances, while Kunal Nayyar, Sinead Phelps, Isabella Rossellini, and Wilmer Valderrama each add their own unique spark in pivotal roles.
