The popular dubbing artiste has worked in over 150 films in her career

Actress Raveena Ravi, who began her career in dubbing with the 2012-film Saattai, has completed a decade in the industry as dubbing artiste. Raveena is the daughter of popular dubbing artiste and actress Sreeja Ravi and Ravindranathan. Raveena has also worked as an actress in films like Oru Kidaiyin Karunai Manu, Kavalthurai Ungal Nanban and Rocky. She took to her social media handle to mark the occasion with a lengthy post where she thanked everyone from her parents to all the leading actresses whom she lent her voice to.
Her post read, "September 2022 marked ten years of my voice acting (dubbing) career for heroines, and on this occasion, I’d like to extend my gratitude to all of you who have been a part of my journey. First and foremost, I thank the Supreme for everything which I have expressed below. I thank my parents from my heart for their endless support, love and care. My dad, who is not with me today, was my biggest cheerleader and
supporter. He would go all out in appreciation of my work and was super proud of me. I miss him. My Guru, my mother, Sreeja Ravi, has worked in over 2000 films, won 5 state awards, and has over 45 years of experience in the industry. I’m glad that she has laid out a steady path for me to follow. Ravindranathan & Sreeja Ravi will always be my soul and world."She also thanked her friends, family and well-wishers for all the love and support they have provided her all the years.
Raveena revealed that she has worked with 104 directors till date and that they have all given her a platform to prove herself as an artist. "Right from freshers to legendary directors that I've worked with, I have really been blessed to be part of their films. I thank all the captains. She also thanked the producers, assistant directors, sound engineers, mixing engineers, sound side technicians and others who contributed to her career, Dubbing Union representatives, the press and media and social media friends, followers and fans.
And lastly, Raveena thanked all the leading actresses whom she lent her voice for. "This list is incomplete if I don’t extend gratitude to all the heroines I’ve voiced for. It was sheer happiness to live as your voice on the silver screen." Raveena has dubbed for some of the leading actresses in the industry including Amy Jackson, Raashi Khanna, Malavika Mohanan to name a few.
Terming dubbing as a soulful profession, Raveena said, "I’m blessed to be doing what I do. I followed my passion and sustained it with your immense support. Here’s asking all of you to follow yours, your hard work and dedication will eventually pay off."
