Actress Meena's husband Vidyasagar passes away due to lung ailment

Actress Meena's husband, Vidyasagar, passed away on Tuesday evening at 7pm. He was 48. Vidyaasagar has been battling lung-related complications and was undergoing treatment for the same at a private hospital in Chennai. But he succumbed to the infection and breathed his last yesterday. Vidyasagar was earlier infected by Covid and had recovered from the disease. His mortal remains will be cremated at Besant Nagar cemetry in Chennai at 2 pm today. Meena and Vidyasagar tied the knot in 2009. Vidyasagar is survived by Meena and their daughter Nainika, who played Vijay's daughter in Theri. 

Meanwhile, condolences have been pouring in from the film fraternity and fans across social media. In the meantime, we hear that Rajinikanth, who worked with Meena in Muthu, called up the actress and expressed his condolences.
