Karunakaran makes his directorial debut with a film influenced by writing legend Shakespeare’s works

Srikanth Iyengar, who has been making tremendous progress as a character actor in a wide variety of roles in the recent years, is turning a producer soon. He has finalised a film titled Yanam, to be produced under his banner KSI Cinema Unlimited. Yanam will launch first-time filmmaker Karunakaran into the industry. The news was confirmed in the presence of Indraganti Mohanakrishna, Bunny Vaas and director Karunakaran in a press meet in Hyderabad.
While the logo of the banner KSI Cinema Unlimited was unveiled by Bunny Vaas, the film’s title logo was launched by Indraganti. Thanking the guests for gracing the banner, film launch, Srikanth stated that he and Karunakaran have worked on a lot of plays, ad-films in the past. “I always introduce him as my backbone and I hope he makes a name for himself as a feature film director too,” he said.
Conveying his gratitude to Srikanth Iyengar for introducing him into films, director Karunakaran said that he would put the best foot forward to accomplish the vision of the former and requested audiences to encourage his work. Indraganti stated he knew Srikanth for over a decade now and expressed his confidence that the banner would go a long way in producing meaningful cinema.
Bunny Vaas opined that Srikanth deserves credit for taking the plunge into film production amid a lot of uncertainty in the industry, more so after the COVID-19 era. “One needs a lot of courage to produce a film these days. Things aren’t same in the industry anymore after COVID, I truly appreciate Srikanth’s attempt. He is a versatile actor already and I hope he introduces many young talents into the industry,” the producer added.
