MaayaOne, starring Neil Nitin Mukesh and Sundeep Kishan, is directed by CV Kumar

We had earlier reported that Hindi actor Neil Nitin Mukesh has been cast in the upcoming sci-fi thriller film titled MaayaOne. With Sundeep Kishan, who was last seen in Captain Miller, playing the lead role, the latest update on the project is that Neil has wrapped up shooting for the first schedule of the film. Taking to X (formerly Twitter), the actor wrote, “When “Hero” and “villain” are Happy …. Director is Happy !!”
The film is directed by CV Kumar with Santhosh Narayanan scoring the music. The makers also released a couple of behind-the-scenes stills of the actors involved in a chat.
Produced under the banner of Adventures International Pvt Ltd, the upcoming film is the highly anticipated sequel to Maayavan, starring Sundeep Kishan, Lavanya Tripathi, Jackie Shroff, R Amarendran, Daniel Balaji, Mime Gopi, and Bagavathi Perumal.
It was also reported that in order to suit his character, Neil is also trying to lose some weight and improve his diction. Akansha Ranjan Kapoor, who has worked in the Netflix-released Hindi film Guilty, is debuting in Tamil with MaayaOne. She is playing the female lead in this film.
According to reports, Sundeep is going through makeovers to fit in to his action-packed character. Santhosh Narayanan is composing the music for the sequel. Similar to its prequel, the movie will evolve around a common man's fight against a powerful foe. However, further details on the plot are yet to be announced. A release date is yet to be fixed for the film.
Maayavan released in 2017 and is a science fiction thriller directed by producer CV Kumar. The plot of the movie centres on a young police officer named Kumaran and his investigation into a few murders that seem to follow the same mysterious pattern. To the astonishment of the viewers, the officer ultimately discovers a strange truth towards the conclusion of the film. Maayavan is available on Disney+ Hotstar. The film opened to positive reception. It was directed and produced by CV Kumar with Nalan Kumarasamy penning the story.
