Bala, the popular South Indian actor, has maintained a strong presence on social media despite not having any recent film projects. In a recent interview with Filmi Beat Malayalam, he shared that he initially had plans to direct the Suriya-starring film, Kanguva. According to Bala, he will be directing a film with Alphons Joseph as the music composer.
" I was to direct the Suriya starrer Kanguva but later couldn't do it due to health problems," Bala told Filmi beat Malayalam.
Bala claimed that a music director in his previous project caused him professional harm and hurt him emotionally.
Bala's controversies
In the recent past, Bala suffered from liver disease and was in critical condition for a few days . After being discharged from the hospital, he engaged in a war of words with some social media personalities. He was accused of threatening a YouTuber with a gun, and a complaint was filed against him. Later, Bala filed a defamation suit against the people who filed a complaint against him.
Bala's projects
Bala was previously seen in Unni Mukundan's Shefeekkinte Santhosham as a replacement for Manoj K Jayan. Shefeekkinte Santhosham marked a comeback of Bala to Malayalam after a long gap. The actor is also part of the cast of Bilal, the sequel of Big B which is yet to start the shoot.
About Kanguva
Meanwhile, Kanguva is directed by Bala's brother Siva. Kanguva is a period action adventure film starring Disha Patani, Bobby Deol, Yogi Babu and Kovai Sarala. The music is composed by Devi Sri Prasad known for Pushpa, Rangasthalam and Janatha Garage. According to him the film will be a cinematic feast and has historical elements. The glimpse of the film was released on Suriya's birthday, this year and featured the actor in a barbaric costume. The glimpse featured a battle scene, in which Suriya donning a long hair, appears from the dark with a chain made of tiger claws in his neck. Kanguva is the most expensive film in Suriya's career in which he will appear in five roles.
