Supreme Sundar, who is on a roll with back-to-back successful films in Malayalam, is currently working on AK 61 (tentative title) in Tamil which has Ajith playing the lead. The film being directed by H Vinoth is currently in its last leg of shooting, and it is expected that the movie would hit the screens towards the end of this year.
Sundar, who came on board earlier this year for the heist thriller, believes the project will be the much-awaited re-entry for him in Kollywood. A short clip from an interview to a Malayalam YouTube channel in which he is seen excited while talking about the film has been doing the rounds on Twitter.
He said, "AK 61 will be an action-packed film. The movie will have some interesting episodes in Ajith's style. I can't divulge much details about the project, but I'm expecting a lot of appreciation post the release of the film." Sundar's last film in Malayalam was the recent outing Thallumala, starring Tovino Thomas in the lead.
One of the prime attractions of the fun-filled entertainer was his neatly composed fight sequences. In fact, no other Malayalam movies had as many impressive fight scenes which Thallumala had in recent times.
Sundar was the stunt choreographer for Mammootty's Bheeshma Parvam as well which was released earlier this year. The movie, which went on to become the actor's highest grosser, too, stood out for its action scenes. He has been roped in for Mammootty's ongoing project Christopher which went on floors recently.
A couple of months ago, the action sequences in Ayyappanum Koshiyum, which was composed jointly by Sundar, along with Mafia Sasi and Rajasekhar, received the National Award for Best Stunt Choreography.
