The second season of Accused has begun streaming in India. The new season is currently available to stream on SonyLIV (OTTplay Premium). Based on Jimmy McGovern's 2010 British series of the same name, Howard Gordon's Accused is a crime drama anthology series for television.
Accused, which is based on the BBC's BAFTA-winning crime anthology, follows the trial of a defendant who, in each episode's opening scene, is oblivious to the nature of the crime or the process of their trial. The defendant's perspective narrates the story.
Each episode commences in a courtroom, introducing the accused without their awareness of the offense or the circumstances leading to their trial; the series focuses on everyday individuals. Next, the audience receives the defendant's perspective on the events leading up to this point.
The casts include Felicity Huffman, Isabel Arraiza, José Zúñiga, Daniel Maslany, and William H. Macy; Taylor Schilling, Danny Pino, and Justin Chambers; Nick Cannon, Patrick J. Adams, Amanda Zhou, David Reale, Jerrika Hinton, and LisaGay Hamilton; Michael Chiklis, Andrew Liner, Sherri Saum, Trevor White, Stephen Thomas Kalyn, and Lee Tergesen; Debra Winger, Mercedes Ruehl, Christine Ebersole, and Matthew James Thomas; Cobie Smulders, Vella Lovell, Shawn Doyle, Kai Kirton, Eric Johnson, and Dina Shihabi; and Sonequa Martin-Green, Mike Colter, Kiara Barnes, Jade Eshete, James Cade, Rebecca Liddiard, and Sergio Di Zio.
Earlier, while talking about being a part of Accused, Cannon told Deadline that his Fox family has always been there for him, and it's apparent that he enjoyed the show. Acting is undoubtedly his passion. To be honest, he primarily engages in hosting as a hobby. Being an actor is his craft. Everything about the role—Marcus in particular—intrigued him. The character got to feel practically every emotion in just one hour, and he got to play a character who is completely unlike him in a universe where Nick Cannon doesn't exist.
Cannon further added that the fact that each episode serves as a mini-film is one of his favorite aspects of this anthology series. He caught a couple of episodes—one starring Michael Chiklis and his son, and another with Malcolm Jamal Warner. In the end, he watched every one of them. Those two stood out to him the most.
