The highly anticipated trailer of Jayaram’s thriller Abraham Ozler is finally here! The trailer of the Midhun Manuel Thomas directorial was launched by Telugu superstar Mahesh Babu, who took to his social media handles on Wednesday to drop the video. Apart from Jayaram, the movie also features Jagadish, Dileesh Pothan, Anaswara Rajan, Arjun Ashokan, Senthil Krishna, Arya Salim, and Anoop Menon in pivotal roles.
Jayaram plays an insomniac in this intriguing medical thriller
The trailer opens with Ozler (Jayaram) delivering food to Arjun Ashokan’s character, who is shown as a prisoner. A depressed Arjun conveys that the food Ozler brings to him is the only ‘connect’ he has to the outside world. Then there is a voiceover that describes Ozler’s character as someone who is a ‘deadman walking – broken, cursed and forgotten’. Later Sai Kumar’s character who seems to be playing the role of a doctor mentions that Ozler needs to come to terms with his past because his insomnia has become chronic over time. Ozler seems to essay the role of an investigating officer who is on a quest to find the ‘devil’s alternative’ in this intriguing medical thriller.
From the first look, the trailer hints at an intriguing and dark thriller which will keep you at your edge of the seat. The trailer reminds us of Midhun’s 2020 thriller Anjaam Paathiraa due to its dark and compelling backdrop. Overall, it's refreshing to watch Jayaram essaying a serious role after a very long gap. The actor, who is known for his light-hearted characters, is sure to thrill the audience with his new avatar as Abraham Ozler!
The most interesting part of the film will be the cameo appearance of our very own megastar Mammootty! The trailer does not show the actor’s character, however, netizens have been speculating that the star might play the antagonist or a very pivotal role in the upcoming medical drama.
