Malayalam movie Abraham Ozler, which is directed and written by Midhun Manuel Thomas and has Jayaram in the lead, is one of the highly-anticipated releases this year. Midhun, who previously helmed the commercial hit Anjaam Pathiraa in 2020, has recently announced on his Instagram page that Ozler will be released during Christmas this year.
The announcement included a poster of the film, featuring Jayaram exiting a police car with a gun in his hand, with the caption "Ozler is coming!! Christmas release!!". Additionally, another exciting aspect of the film is that it features Mammootty in a guest role.
Abraham Ozler also has Arjun Ashokan, Anaswara Rajan, Saiju Kurup, Arya Salim and Senthil Krishna. The core technical team includes Midhun Mukundan as music director, Saiju Sreedharan as editor, and Theni Easwar as cinematographer.
Jayaram's comeback to Malayalam films
Jayaram, who has not been all that active in Malayalam since 2019, made his comeback to the industry in 2022 with Makal, directed by Sathyan Anthikad. Unfortunately, Makal did not perform well at the box office. As a result, the actor is now placing his expectations on Ozler.
Midhun Manuel Thomas' upcoming projects
Midhun Manuel Thomas, who penned the screenplay for the debutant Arun Varma's film Garudan starring Suresh Gopi and Biju Menon, has several other projects lined up. The Aadu director has also written the script for the horror thriller Phoenix, which stars Aju Varghese, Chandhunadh and Anoop Menon in lead roles.

There are also reports that Midhun is currently working on another script for a Mammootty film, which will be directed by Pulimurugan director Vysakh. Additionally, there are rumours that the Anjaam Pathiraa director may team up with Mammootty again for the sixth film in the CBI Sethurama Iyer franchise.
