Bob Biswas is all set to release on 3rd December. The film, where the intriguing character from Sujoy Ghosh's Kahaani will take the central stage, has raised our expectations. Of course, the character was immortalised by Saswata Chatterjee and now Abhishek Bachchan has replaced him, but he looks earnest as Bob Biswas in the trailer. In fact, dad Amitabh Bachchan also praised him and said, "I am proud to say you are my Son. My grateful gratitude for all the gracious words of appreciation for Abhishek's BOB BISWAS .. The reactions have been overwhelming.” Now, Abhishek Bachchan has opened up about it.
Talking to Mid Day, the actor said, “I was bowled over and overwhelmed, and I continue to be. I’m his son and his biggest fan. To get your idol to recognise your work, to see you work is a huge compliment in itself. Let alone if you do good work and he thinks you’ve done good work. The fact that he saw the trailer and felt the need to write something about it, is humbling. I’m panicking now because I want the film to be even better because he’s got certain hopes now, and you don’t want his hopes to come crashing down.”
Abhishek Bachchan had prepped a lot for the character and in fact increased his weight to look perfect for the part. Bob Biswas was the common man from Kahaani who doubled up as an assassin. In this film, we would see a closer glimpse into the life of the character. The film also stars Chitrangada Singh as his on-screen wife.
