It's been nine years since we saw Shraddha Kapoor and Varun Dhawan get on their dancing shoes and leave an impressive mark with their moves in ABCD 2. Remo D'Souza directed and choreographed the dance movie, Any Body Can Dance 2, which Siddharth Roy Kapur also produced for Walt Disney Pictures. In case you are planning to celebrate the movie anniversary, ABCD 2 is currently streaming on Netflix and SonyLIV (OTTplay Premium). The film also stars Prabhu Deva and Sushant Pujari in pivotal roles, along with Lauren Gottlieb, Raghav Juyal, Punit Pathak, and Dharmesh Yelande.
The plot of ABCD 2 centres on the true story of the Fictitious Dance group, detailing their rise to fame, sudden fall from grace, and heroic fight for justice by reclaiming their former glory. The real-life experiences of Suresh Mukund (Dhawan) and Vernon Monteiro (Pujari), the "fictitious dance crew" of The Kings' founders and eventual San Diego World Hip Hop Dance Championship winners, serve as inspiration for the film.
While some panned ABCD 2 for being too long and lacking in quality writing, others lauded the dancing, music, and performances of Prabhu Deva, Varun, and Shraddha.

Earlier, while talking about the film, Remo stated that it is based on a real story. From its humble beginnings in a little town in Nalasopara, the Fictitious Dance Academy rose to the top of a Las Vegas dance competition. Given how excellent and motivating the original story was, he refrained from significantly altering it.
Sachin Sanghvi and Jigar Saraiya, also known as Sachin-Jigar, composed all of the music and score for ABCD 2. Badshah, Rimi Nique, D. Soldierz, and Mayur Puri all had a hand in penning the songs' lyrics. The sequel featured a scratch version of Sun Saathiya, featuring guest vocals and songwriting from Priya Saraiya. With Neel Sharma penning the English rap and Puri appropriating the Hindi lyrics, Shraddha and the former sang a cover of Bezubaan Phir Se.
