Director Jithu Madhavan dismissed rumours that his upcoming Malayalam film Aavesham, starring Fahadh Faasil, is connected to his previous film, Romancham, during a press conference promoting the movie. He continued by saying that even though Romancham had a character by the name of Ranga (which was played by Chemban Vinod), the latter is unrelated to the main character of Aavesham.

He said, "Ranga in Aavesham is kind of related to a person I saw during my college days in Bangalore”. Because of its entertaining element, which will undoubtedly please the audience, the young filmmaker mentioned that this film must be enjoyed in theatres. He continued by saying that pre-production for this movie had started concurrently with the premiere of his 2023 horror comedy drama Romancham, starring Sajin Gopu, Arjun Ashokan, and Soubin Shahir.

‘Romancham will have a sequel’

Jithu stated that, like with Aavesham, he has always attempted to make viewers laugh with spontaneous humour in his films. Romancham received overwhelmingly positive reviews from both critics and viewers when it was released in theatres and on digital platforms. He acknowledged that there will be a sequel, but he has not yet finished writing the script.

Aavesham to release on April 11

In addition to Sajin Gopu, Hipzster, Mithun Jai Shankar, Roshan Shanavas, and Mansoor Ali Khan, Fahadh Faasil plays the role of Ranga in this movie. Prior to now, Suriya's role in Vikram's Rolex and Ranga were compared. To correct the record, Fahadh asserted that his character is far more entertaining than Suriya's merciless killer character, Rolex.

Even though Varshangalkku Shesham, directed by Vineeth Sreenivasan, has more screens than the others, Fahadh Faasil's Aavesham is predicted to do better at the box office on April 11. On the same day, Unni Mukundan's Jai Ganesh will also be released on the big screen, providing a fantastic treat for movie buffs during the holiday season. The prospect of their "Fafaa" playing an entertaining don has his fans thrilled.
