Sikandar Kher, who had made his film debut with Woodstock Villa, went onto do work in projects like Monica O My Darling, Tooth Pari: When Love Bites, TVF Pitchers and the more recent Aarya 3. Speaking of Aarya 3, OTTplay caught up with the actor Sikandar Kher for an exclusive interview, wherein he spoke about his character in the series, Sushmita Sen being the perfect fit for the series, the difference between OTT platforms and silver screen amongst other things.
In a nutshell, can you please describe your journey from your first film to your latest offering to everyone in the form of ‘Aarya 3’?
The term is great… simply great! Woodstock Villa was my first film and it will always be my first! I had a great time working on that film! Till date, I have loved working with everybody, right from the directors to all the actors. Luckily, I never really had an experience that was unpleasant. But I have been extremely lucky and truly fortunate to have been around a lot of great people. And I enjoyed every film that I have done so far.
How would you characterize your character Daulat in Aarya?
Daulat is a Samurai … Doesn’t that say it all! (smiles).
If given a chance, with whom would you want to trade places in Aarya 3 and why?
I would want to trade places with nobody from Aarya 3!
If not Sushmita Sen, who, do you think would have been an ideal choice for Aarya 3?
Sushmita Sen is just bang on. There couldn't have been anyone better.
What difference/s do you observe after having worked on the silver screen and now in an OTT platform?
To be honest, I only see it as two different mediums. Acting is still the same for all the actors! (smiles)
Is there a particular film of yours that you'd like to see on an OTT platform believing it would perform well?
I would like to say all my films, but …
After Aarya 3, what are your upcoming projects?
I have done a film with Dev Patel in Hollywood. I have done a show Citadel with Raj & DK. But, when I sign my other projects, and I start shooting for them, I will surely update about the same.
