Nearly two months after suffering a heart attack, Sushmita Sen announced on Tuesday that she has resumed filming for the third season of her beloved web series Aarya in Jaipur. The 47-year-old performer disclosed she underwent angioplasty at a city hospital after suffering a "big" heart attack in an Instagram post at the beginning of March.
The third season of the series will feature Sushmita, who portrays the main character in Aarya, in a new action-packed avatar as she assumes charge as a fierce mother, daughter, and woman.
The actor expressed her excitement in a statement, saying that Aarya is a symbol of power and that her unapologetic personality has become an essential component of who she is. With Aarya, the actor ventured into uncharted terrain and tapped into her brave aura to delve deeper into her persona. It's time for her to step things up a level and do something they have never done now that they have seen her ace the game.
Sushmita is delighted to dig into this new part of her character, especially with the swordsplay that Aarya learns as her personality matures and she comes more into her own.
The series, an official Hindi adaptation of the Dutch series Penoza, follows Aarya as she enters the criminal underworld following the murder of her husband, Tej Sareen (Chadrachur Singh).
Sushmita is seen rehearsing for a sword fight in the most recent Aarya teaser that Disney+ Hotstar published on their official social media pages.
The worldwide Emmy-nominated drama's creator, Ram Madhvani, asserted that challenges are really opportunities disguised as hurdles, and Sen has demonstrated how to deal with them with poise and fortitude.
The filmmaker added that Aarya, their Sherni, is unstoppable and will leave a lasting impact as they begin the journey for season 3. Their team at Ram Madhvani Films is brimming with excitement and enthusiasm to bring their audience a riveting narrative, power-packed performances, and an unstoppable Aarya, their Sherni. The co-director said that they are dedicated to delivering their best, and they can't wait to show the world what they have in store.
Sen just wrapped up the dubbing process for Taali, a forthcoming online series in which she portrays transgender activist Gauri Sawant.
