Aankh Micholi sets a new release date: Mrunal Thakur and Abhimanyu Dasani to tickle funny bones this October

The family entertainer Aankh Micholi, directed by Umesh Shukla, has a new release date and will now hit the big screen on October 27, 2023. As per the makers, the film is centred on an Indian wedding and follows two very different families as they prepare for the big day and all the chaos that ensues.

Festive season release:

The film's release date was just confirmed today, and audiences will get to see the comedy film during the festive season, just after Dussehra 2023. The makers released a new poster featuring the entire cast of the film, giving a glimpse that the film is about a big, fat Indian wedding.

In a statement, Umesh Shukla, the director, stated that they have given their heart and soul to this film. The fact that they see it coming to theatres is the biggest blessing and joy any filmmaker can have. They are crossing their fingers that this entertaining film will find the success it deserves among families. What Umesh really wants is for everyone to be happy.

Ensemble cast

Mrunal Thakur, Abhimanyu Dasani, Paresh Rawal, Sharman Joshi, Divya Dutta, Abhishek Banerjee, Darshan Jariwala, Grusha Kapoor, and Vijay Raaz are among the actors in the movie, which also features music by the duo Sachin-Jigar.

This is likely to be the first time we will see Mrunal in an out-and-out comedy role, and it also marks her first outing with Abhimanyu on the big screen.

Delayed release

The Umesh Shukla-directed, Jitendra Parmar-penned, Sony Pictures International Productions-produced, and Ashish Wagh-produced Aankh Micholi will hit Indian theatres on October 27.
