Tanu Weds Manu is a successful film franchise helmed by filmmaker Aanand L Rai. Following the success of the first part, a second installment Tanu Weds Manu Returns was released in cinemas. And since its release in 2015, fans have been excitedly waiting for an update for Tanu Weds Manu 3. Now, in an exclusive interview with OTTplay, Aanand L Rai has confirmed that Tanu Weds Manu 3 will be made but there's time for the film to go on floors.
Aanand L Rai confirms Tanu Weds Manu 3
On being asked about the Tanu Weds Manu 3 update, Aanand L Rai told us, "Tanu Weds Manu 3 will be made. But it all depends on when we shape up the story well. I am never in a hurry to make films. I want to enjoy the process and the same will be with Tanu Weds Manu 3," he said.
The director further mentioned, "I will not go on floors till we all are ready to have fun. Because there are high expectations and I don't want to fall short of it." When asked if the third installment will also star Kangana Ranaut, Rai added, "Whenever you will see Tanu Weds Manu 3, it will be with Kangana."
What's next for Aanand L Rai?
On the work front, Aanand L Rai's next directorial venture will be Dhanush-starrer Tere Ishk Mein. The filmmaker told OTTplay that the film will go on floors by the end of 2024 and it will be released by next year-end.
Spilling more details about Tere Ishk Mein, Aanand said, "The only similarity you can see between these two worlds (Tere Ishk Mein and Raanjhanaa) is that it is full of love, love to a level where... jisko hum Hindi mein bolte hai ki 'jalta hua romance'. It is quite grateful." Rai added that he is hoping to make an extraordinary film with Dhanush.
